JP Scrap Metal & Recovery

This was a fun branding project for a client forwarded to me via a prior client. The goal of this commission was to create a logo for a known scrap-collecting company in Barnsley. The vision is to eminently present the idea of steel and rusty metal in the colour scheme while using scrap-collecting claws to create the final overall image. The final product resulted in 2 logo variates to be used on vans, social media, and business cards.

Initial Sketches

So before starting any design, I compiled a mood board of designs that focused on particular styles, this would be used to identify what my clients were looking for, in this case, what would they like their logo to look like. After deliberating I started coming up with a few basic sketches just to gauge an idea of what the client was after, before finally settling on a design that focuses on a scrap grabber’s arm and claw, after a few revisions.

I managed to get a clear concept to run with all while making a few aesthetic tweaks to some aspects of the logo before finally settling on what is now the final result.
